Most people who look at the name “Las Vegas” have the byline “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” running around in their head. But what others have found over the last 20 years is that the Fetish & Fantasy Halloween Ball is what they should be thinking about. This Halloween event rivals and out bests all other Halloween events in Las Vegas, as well as internationally, and is “THE” largest, and longest, continuously running Halloween event in Las Vegas.
Starting in 1995, the first Fetish and Fantasy Halloween Ball was held at a historical landmark, “The Attic”. With an iconic reputation, The Attic was already considered “Hip” in the underground scene, and the eclectic venue saw a crowd of about 700 people that first Halloween Ball night. The promoters were delighted and decided, with such a great turn out for their first event, it was well worth moving forward with an annual event in the years to come.
For its second incarnation, the ball moved to the iconic “Tropicana Hotel & Casino” where the party was able to expand into the thousands. Over the next 18 years, with ten different locations in all, each adding unique entertainment variations and memories, the Ball has settled in at the infamous Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and now marks its 20th anniversary event this year.
People from all around the world plan their Halloween celebration at the Ball each year, coming from places such as Sweden, Germany, Australia, Canada and all over the United States. The Ball has stood the test of time and has received praise from some of the top media channels and magazines such as the Travel Channel and Bizarre Magazine, as well as appearances as E! Entertainment. “One Of The Top 10 Events In The World,” and “The World’s Wildest Halloween Party” are two of the accolades given over the years, and as such, the wild at heart seem to find their way to the event. In fact, 2014 saw a wonderful couple from the United Kingdom tie the knot during the event, with all in attendance as their witnesses. Not many people can tell that story around the campfire!!
In closing, we must point out that the dress code is definitely not for the faint of heart. The Fetish and Fantasy Halloween Ball encourage creativity with costumes, latex, leather, lingerie and even saran wrap. Whatever you can’t wear to work is one way to identify what is acceptable, and always dress to impress. After 20 years, this is going to be the ultimate Halloween party and we could tell you more, but we are encouraging you to come and see it for yourself! Make sure to get your tickets early and make sure your travel arrangements are solidified soon!
